Grizzdance Film Festival: Co-Director, Head of Programming, Designer
from october 2019 to february 2020, i served as a co-director of Grizzdance, a yearly film festival that was disbanded years ago, alongside three of my close friends. this festival showcased the work of talented filmmakers from every level, from high school to post-grad. we created a collaborative, open, welcoming space for aspiring, current, and professional filmmakers to make connections and get recognized for their efforts. there were 35 films in our festival, a total of 202.25 minutes of content shown within four separate programs (categories).
i created the festival’s email campaign to communicate with filmmakers, ensuring that their needs were met and that they knew about the festivities. i also designed the festival’s programme, letterhead, and other various documents. as head of programming, i created and organized the structure of our film screenings into the programs titled “Scary-Tale Endings,” “Fringe Theatre,” “Oh, The Drama,” and “Laugh, Ponder, or Both?”.
